With increased awareness in providing adequate shade in Schools, Councils and Kindy's, relevant information is extremely important.
 
Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) is recognised as a vital tool in determining the effectiveness of shade.  Recently 29 shade structures at primary schools were surveyed  with only 6 structures offering a UPF greater than 15 (93% UVR or greater).  To accurately determine the UPF we have included a table below.
